Korean Air caught in island spat with Japan

Japan has told its diplomats to avoid Korean Air flights for one month in protest at the carrier’s recent overflight of islands disputed between the two nations, an official in Tokyo said Thursday.
Seoul has fired back in the latest flare-up in their long-running spat over the rocky Sea of Japan (East Sea) islets, known as Dokdo in South Korea and Takeshima in Japan, and demanded Japan reverse the ban. More >
Seoul to have more hotels for incoming tourists

Some 20 new hotels of various types and sizes will open in Seoul within the next 10 years amid a chronic shortage of quality lodging in the capital.
The new hotels will help relieve room shortages in Seoul, where an influx of 9.6 million foreign visitors is expected annually according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Tuesday. More >
